Do you have any favorite Bill Ward drawings?

Ooh! I love Bill Ward! I would say this is one of my favorites. It’s the tiny details that make it for me like the seams on her stockings and the shadow on her leg. I love when he uses pops of white.

I have not seen this favorite of yours, Amanda, and it may very well now be my favorite of Bettie. The tilt of her head, the fold of her hands holding mirror and comb, the swing of her shoulder, the scissor of her legs — all and more are evidence of Bettie's most powerful power. Bettie was extremely feminine. And femininity is the greatest attraction a woman possess. — Robert Palmar

It’s absolutely exquisite. I think my favorite part about it is her silky, smooth, wavy hair. It’s almost as if she’s posing, but not meaning to. I love it so much.

I found out about Bettie Page when I was 12, through a store down in Oceanside California called Dick Jane and Spikes. I had went in to look for 50's inspired sunglasses and was floored by all the Bettie Page posters/shirts/etc in the store. I had to know who she was so I immediately went home and looked her up and she's been one of my biggest inspirations since!

Wonderful! My story is similar, I seen an Olivia painting on a t-shirt and fell in love. Thanks!

Bettie has inspired me to not be ashamed about my body, and she taught me to have a sense of humor about it too. She left a legacy of a vivacious woman and captures the joi de vivre I want to have in my everyday life. I can't begin to explain how infatuated with her I have become, but she's a very important lady to me.

I know exactly how you feel, She mentioned in interviews about how young girls write her telling her that she makes them feel good about themselves and gives them self confidence and I’m glad that she lived long enough to know just how much of an impact she had on people.

Discovered her in 89 when I was in a band and we incorporated her images into stickers and flyers. A buddy of mine got his guitar autographed by Bettie when she was doing a rare interview...

Whoa! I am insanely jealous of your friend, I would have probably cried if I ever had ever had the chance to meet her.

That is so neat that your grandmother is a Bettie fan! Which book was it?
