scrolling through your blog just brings tears to my eyes. ♡

In the best way possible, I hope!

This doesn’t have anything to do with this, but I just seen on your page that you’re from “Moz Angeles”. Morrissey is my heart and I have a Moz Angeles tattoo and a traditional portrait of him on my arm. Anyway, nice to see other Moz fans!

The release of Bettie Page Reveals All a few months ago brought some unpublished photos and I’ve been noticing quite a few new poses from famous Bettie/ Bunny shoots popping up, maybe they’re going to be in the new book!

what years from start to finish did Betty do her posing?? I was born in 52 and found some old mags in a tool box when I was a youngster. Been in love ever since. Love your blog and a huge thanks.

Thank you so much!

The first time she posed for pin-up photography was in 1950 and she retired in 1957. Here is a quote from Bettie on why she retired:

"I was thirty-four years old, almost thirty-five. Even though everyone thought I was much younger, I was getting too old to do pin-ups. For years and years the magazines said I was twenty-two years old and I never refuted it. Why should I tell them how old I was if I could get away with being younger? Besides, I had done enough modeling. The photographers had shot me so much, and there were so many pictures of me in circulation, I thought people would get sick of seeing me!"

I must be honest' I wasn't in to bettie page for a long tome but after seeing her in some drawings like in comics and some of her pin-up photos. It's like I've been getting to know her more this whole week and seeing how hot and attractive she was in her days' it's like I've been falling in love with her, I guess it's normal to feel that way about her now' even if you could feel the same way back in her days, it's still normal.

It’s totally normal, after seeing a face like Bettie’s how could you not fall in love? ;)

your blog on Betty is quite extensive. She is my favorite as well. I remember finding a mag with her in it in my dads sock drawer when I was a boy. been hooked ever since. Do you know if there are sets and pics of Betty that may never have been seen or some one has a collection and is not willing to share??

I’m positive there are still some unseen photos out there especially considering the (probably) hundreds of amateur camera club photographers Bettie posed for. Sadly, there were hundreds of Bettie photos taken by Irving and Paula Klaw that were destroyed after 1957 court case against the Klaws. Eighty percent of the negatives were burned, but Paula secretly kept some of Bettie’s photos. Bunny Yeager is coming out with another book this September that claims to have dozens of never before seen photos.

Thanks!
